Collections From The Journey
The polymer clay covers of this handmade book were created with a copper verdigris effect. Embedded in the surface are copper wire, eyelets and window screen. One can peer through the screen to see the first endpaper within. The copper wire appears to hold the covers together in places that have been intentionally cracked.
The text block is comprised of 112 pages of cardstock in various light and copper hues. Four needles were used to sew the signatures to the covers using the Coptic stitch. The binding was completed with Coptic endbands. The closure is provided by a printed rubber band stating, “Collections from the Journey.”
